Meta Platforms is reportedly expanding its AI agent Muse to small businesses by implementing software integrations with tools such as Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe and Canva-a significant move to help them run their businesses and find new customers as the Facebook-parent reduces its reliance on ad revenue.

The primary motive behind Muse for Small Business is to connect Instagram professional account analytics, Facebook Pages and Meta ad accounts with tools including Asana, Box, Dropbox, Figma, Klaviyo, Notion, Slack and Zoom.

The company said that Muse is now capable of being integrated or unified with a company’s brand storefront, books and customer records.

Muse will not publish content or send messages or make purchases without a user’s approval. Most importantly, Muse is free for most users while a subscription plan will be available for users seeking additional features.

In this connection, Meta said in the blog post, “Small businesses have been growing on our apps for nearly two decades.”

“They told us they’re short on hours, not ideas. So we built Muse for Small Business to help get work done with the tools they already use.”

Muse launched this month is a personal AI agent designed to complete crucial tasks including shopping, travel booking, emailing and proxy payments. Nonetheless, the app has reached the top of the rankings in the US and Canada in recent weeks with market intelligence firm Sensor Tower recording factual data of about 2.8 million downloads in its first two weeks.
