TikTok and The Walt Disney have announced a first-of-its-kind global content-sharing partnership that will integrate user-generated videos directly into the Disney+ streaming platform.

Curated videos created by participating TikTok creators will be hosted on TikTok and featured on Disney+ through its mobile-first vertical video destination, "Verts."

The deal comes as vertical video continues to gain popularity in the United States.

Streaming platforms including Comcast-owned Peacock and Paramount+ have introduced vertical series, while Netflix offers Clips, a feed of short-form videos designed to help viewers discover content.

Creators participating in the program will gain access to official assets from hundreds of films and television series across Disney's major franchises, including Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, and FX.

The companies will also launch a joint ambassador program offering top-performing creators exclusive rewards, increased visibility, access to special events, and career development opportunities.

The pilot program will launch in the United States in the coming months, with plans to expand to international markets afterward. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The partnership marks the first time official TikTok content and fan-created videos will be hosted natively on a major third-party premium subscription streaming service, reflecting how media companies are increasingly embracing social-first formats to drive audience engagement and content discovery.

According to TikTok, users shared an average of 6.5 million film- and TV-related posts each day last year.

Nearly half of respondents in a company survey said they watched a movie or television show after discovering related content on the platform.

The companies said the pilot program will launch in the U.S. in the coming months, with plans to expand to other markets, although financial terms of the deal were not disclosed
